Description:
PET contains polyethylene terephthalate, the main type of thermoplastic polyester.
It is a polycondensation of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, together with PBT, known as thermoplastic polyester, or saturated polyester.
Advantages:
-Good mechanical properties, impact strength is 3~5 times that of other thermoplastic polyester materials, good folding resistance
-Resistance to oil, fat, dilute acid, dilute alkali, most solvents
-PET does not burn well
-Low permeability of gas and water vapor, with excellent gas, water, oil and odor resistance
-High transparency, can block ultraviolet ray, good luster
-Non-toxic, tasteless, good health and safety, can be directly used for food packaging
Characteristic:
PET is a milky white or light yellow highly crystalline polymer with a smooth and shiny surface.
Good creep resistance, fatigue resistance, abrasion resistance and dimensional stability, low abrasion and high hardness, with the largest toughness in thermoplastics: good electrical insulation performance, little temperature influence, but poor corona resistance.
Non - toxic, weather - resistant, chemical stability, low water absorption, weak acid and organic solvents, but not heat - resistant water immersion, alkali - resistant
Application:
PET can be molded, extruded, blown, coated, bonded, machined, electroplated, vacuum plated and printed.
