Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (Abbreviation UHMW-PE below) refers to more than 3 million molecular weight polyethylene with linear structure which has the best performance factor of all the engineering plastic. It is called an amazing material because its performances of wear resistance, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, self-lubricating, impact absorption are better than any other existed plastic material.
 
But we could not produce this kind of plastic with the traditional technology and difficult to molding, because of its high molecular weight without melting fluidity. Therefore, we focus on the advanced processing technology and as developing, the modern material of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene will be widely used in various kinds of economical applications. Main Characters of UHMW-PE:
 
1.Impact Resistance
The impact resistance of UHMW-PE is the best of all kinds the engineer plastic which is 3 times than Nylon, 2 times than Polycarbonate and 5 times than ABS. Compare with other plastic, it could endure the impact in a long time, even keep its toughness in -196ºC. In addition, UHMW-PE itself also has good wear and corrosion resistance. It could be the best material when in the complicated and hostile environments.
 
2.Light weight& Easy-processable
The weight of UHMW-PE is lighter than water, even less than 1/8 of steel. It cost less than steel with the same quality. It has a very good economy because it is easy to maintain and easy-processable such as milling, drilling, digging and sawing etc.
3.Wear Resistance
The wear resistance of UHMW-PE is better than any other plastic, even better than some steel material such as stainless steel.

4.Self-lubricating
UHMW-PE has self-lubricating performance. It could work without lubricating oil, even its performances are better than carbon steel or copper which is added lubricating oil when it turn or slide. As a friction part, it could work without the lubricating oil and maintain convenient. UHMW-PE is an ideal material because of its stable performance, reducing noise and wearing resistance. It could also protect its mating plate.
