Piston Wear band is PTFE guide ring. This rod seal is designed to ensure that pressurized fluid does not leak out of the system.
GST seals with a radial thickness up to and including 2 mm in PTFE materials are supplied as standard with an empaistic structure on the sliding surfaces. This structure consists of small lubricant pockets on the surface that improve initial lubrication and promote the formation of a lubricant film. They also help protect the sealing system by embedding any foreign particles. To allow the use of the strip material for both piston and piston rod guides, the rings feature this same empaistic structure on both sides.
