Product Description
FKM is a fluorocarbon elastomer with high thermal and chemical resistance. Its broad spectrum of resistance and relatively good compression set, even at high temperatures.
FKM tube material, also known as fluorocarbon elastomer tube, is a high-performance polymer compound specifically engineered for extreme service conditions. It demonstrates exceptional resistance to high temperatures, typically maintaining flexibility and sealing integrity within a range of -20°C to +220°C (-4°F to +428°F), with certain grades capable of withstanding short-term exposure up to 300°C (572°F).The material's core strength lies in its outstanding chemical compatibility, offering excellent resistance against a wide array of aggressive media including oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, concentrated acids, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, as well as many halogenated solvents. This is complemented by good resistance to ozone, weather aging, and UV radiation.
FKM tube exhibits low gas permeability, good mechanical properties such as tensile strength and compression set resistance, and reliable flame retardancy. Consequently, it is extensively utilized in critical automotive, aerospace, chemical processing, and industrial applications for fuel lines, vapor hoses, hydraulic systems, and chemical transfer lines where durability under severe thermal and chemical environments is paramount.
FKM material is known especially for its non-flammability, low gas permeability and excellent resistance to ozone, weathering and aging.
